Vince is a director known for his cinematic language and (darkly) comedic tone. Born in the mid-90s on Germany’s Baltic coast, his moody visual language was shaped by the region’s grey skies and long nights. Fascinated by human nature, Vince crafts stories that often explore mental health, empathy and resilience. His work has been featured at award shows such as YDA, 1.4, ADC, Spotlight and First Steps Award. He has developed a remarkable consistency for winning silver at most, perhaps fitting for someone drawn to underdog stories. His autobiographical short film "It Takes Balls", a co-production with German broadcaster SWR is streaming on ARD Mediathek.
